Name: Frisk
Age: Vaguely childish/prepubescent. Frisk has been known to flirt, but the game plays it off as a joke.
AU/PG/CANON/OC: Canon, Undertale, post-True Pacifist route

Key Points:

The first time Frisk met TORIEL DREEMURR, thier mother figure from beneath Mount Ebott, they had to kill her-

No. No, saying they HAD TO is sugarcoating it, and Frisk refuses to deny responsibility for their own actions. But the fact remains that they did, and ever since then they were determined to make that the last drop of blood that they ever spilled.

Frisk is nothing if not Determined, and parlayed that determination and that one traumatic experience into saving the denizens of the Underworld through a campaign of mercy and friendship.

They never give up. They never back down. And they never, ever, hurt anyone unless they have exhausted all other options - and even then they're quick and show whatever mercy they're able.

Because Frisk is canonically of ambiguous gender, this version of them is gender-fluid leaning feminine (they/them or she/her). If someone uses the wrong pronouns Frisk isn't apt to correct them immediately, but would rather try to understand what made them draw that conclusion.

History:

A thousand years before the start of their story in absolute linear time, there was a war between the humans and the monsters - for the humans feared the monstrous ability to take a human SOUL and become an unfathomable beast. Humanity, too strong to defeat, sealed the surviving monsters under Mount Ebott with a magic spell cast by seven powerful souls.

To destroy that barrier, King ASGORE DREEMURR would require seven human souls of his own, starting with that of CHARA, an adopted human child who died of buttercup poisoning. His son, PRINCE ASRIEL DREEMUR, tried to take Chara's soul and escape outside, to lay his corpse to rest - but was seen by the humans of Chara's village, and attacked. Asriel did not fight back, but rather took the blow, surviving long enough to return and turn to dust before the King's eyes. In a rage, he declared war on humanity and that he would breach the barrier and save monsterkind. Centuries later, ASGORE has cause to regret that decision... but still refused to turn back from that course.

Frisk was to be the seventh soul. But they were determined to make peace instead, fresh from the trauma of spilling TORIEL's blood and seeing her likewise turn to dust before their eyes. The first time, they did not succeed, and faced a FLOWEY empowered by six human souls. When that power was stripped from Flowey, they spared him - not out of any compassion, even at that point, but out of sheer spite to prove his 'kill or be killed' philosophy wrong.

Then, with the power of their DETERMINATION, they sent themselves back in time to before they killed TORIEL. This time, they found a way to spare her, and this time they were able to befriend everyone with some help from Flowey.

All part of Flowey's plan to erase the timeline forever and keep playing with Frisk - who they mistook for Chara - in an endless time loop. Well. There was more than one way to SAVE - and in the end, they saved all of their friends, and even Prince Asriel - half of what made up Flowey, the other half being the hatred of Chara for humanity.

This time, the barrier was breached. This time, monsterkind could see the sun. This time, no one had to die. Why would Frisk ever go back again and mess that up?

Personality:

Frisk is generally cheerful, polite, and stoic. Cheerful, because they have made friends with everything it's possible to befriend in the Underworld. Polite, to make brokering peace possible. And stoic, because they've died so many ways in so many circumstances that it kind of blurs together - but their DETERMINATION returned them to right before those battles, ready to end them without violence. It worked every time but once on their second and final loop, and even then they were able to be merciful if not nonviolent.

They're a child, probably 11 or 12 years old - a polite, well-spoken child that understands all too well the consequences of their actions, but still childish all the same. She's done thing like order 38 'dogs from Sans just so he'd stack the thirty they couldn't hold on her head, danced under the covers of a huge bed just because they could, and reassured a lesbian fish-woman that anime is, indeed, real. (Well, to be fair, she was pretty anime herself).

Their gender is roughly oh my god who cares, given that they go from ribbons and tutus to cowboy outfits and MANLY BANDANNAS without a care in the world. They also wear a striped shirt, in pink and blue, over shorts most of the time... They won't mind being called 'she' and will be vaguely irritated at 'he' - but will use that as an opportunity to find insight into the way people, monster or human, think.

But if you threaten the peace and happiness of their friends? Their teeth will grit, their eyes will narrow, and you'll get to see how merciful a quick defeat that leaves you alive and mostly unhurt but completely unable to fight can be.

A final note: There is information out there about the merciless route that I know, but Frisk isn't privy to it. If someone apps a Chara from the merciless route, they're a distinct character, and you should probably allow it even if I'm there.

Gem Considerations: Their gem is the Carnelian or Pietiersite, carved in the shape of a heart: it represents courage, vitality, creativity and self-awareness.

Power considerations:

I'm not actually that interested in giving Frisk the power to SAVE - their determination shows up in other ways, mostly being incredibly hard to kill.

To wit:
- Super speed, to go with her mundane insane reflexes and parkour skills.
- The ability to project energy shields.
- A healing factor, which she can extend to allies with a touch at the cost of slowing down their own healing.

This changes them from being utterly unkillable if they have enough Determination to merely being very tough, and also emphasizes the merciful aspect of their character by allowing them to save others as well.
